Profibus has been developed by ISO as an industrial field bus system. A 1-pair cable can connect as many as 32 stations with a maximum distance of 1200 metres (without amplifiers) and a maximum speed of 12 Mbs. 3079A has solid conductors. Type 3079E has multi-core conductors.
