Complete 50W soldering station with Magnastat mechanical temperature control. The soldering station has a permanent magnet that controls a switch. At the back of the soldering tip is a metal alloy, which at a certain temperature (the Curie point) becomes demagnetised. At this temperature, the magnet losed its effect and the circuit is broken. When the temperature sinks, the metal alloy becomes magnetised again and the circuit is closed. Because of the alloy's composition, the temperature can be varied for different soldering tips. A figure on the back edge of the soldering tip indicates its working temperature. Soldering tips are available for temperatures of 260, 310, 370, 425 and 480 °C. The soldering station is manufactured to an ESD-safe design.
Supplied with TCP-S soldering iron, chisel shaped 2.4 mm type PT-B7 370 °C tip, KH-20 stand and cleaning sponge.
