Actuating key not included, see accessories. Interlocks with power to lock should only be used after a thorough evaluation of the risk since the guarding device can immediately be opened in the event of failure of electrical power supply or when the main switch is opened.

Caution

EN60947-5-1 standard is only met if entire system consisting of safety sensor (AZM161), magnet (AZM) and a safety monitoring module (AES) is used.
Solenoid Safety Switch

These guard locking devices ensure that guard doors remain shut until any dangerous condition has ceased to exist. With the guard door locked in place, the safety contacts are closed, with the position of the solenoid magnet monitored by an additional NC contact. Applying power to the solenoid allows the guard to be opened. The units are used in conjunction with a timer or standstill monitor. Installation is further simplified by new connection technology using insulation displacement terminals, an integral cable gland is provided. Units also have an auxiliary unlocking facility as an installation aid, and in case of a power failure. M5 triangular key available.
