Stepper Control Board Programmable 2 Axis

A standard single Eurocard complete with 64 way DIN 41612 connector suitable for Eurocard compatible racking systems, with holes provided on the board for surface mounting.
The control board is capable of controlling up to 2 stepper motors via stepper drive boards, by generating step and direction signals.
Programming is via a standard RS-232 serial link from a personal computer (or any other device with an RS-232 port), using a very simple to use programming language specially developed to allow the user the greatest flexibility and ease of program development.
The 2 axis can be moved individually or simultaneously allowing Linear and Circular interpolation, the ASCII character received over the RS-232 allows control of direction, distance, acceleration/deceleration and velocity. Additionally the controller allows monitoring of inputs, such as drive conditions, input switches etc. and can drive external equipment by using the standard 8 inputs and 8 outputs which are all programmable.

Acceleration range: 0.5 steps/sec2 to 250M steps/sec2
Linear and circular interpolation allowing vectors, arcs and circles to be moved on a X-Y axis
Stepper controls include distance, direction, acceleration/deceleration and velocity
8 programmable inputs (opto isolation achievable) for monitoring external signals and equipment
Control of alpha numeric display allowing messages to be programmed in to the control sequence
The control boards are daisy chainable to unlimited numbers of boards
A jog type facility can be achieved via a digital potentiometer or mouse allowing hand control of the stepper motors for positioning
Hard wired positive and negative limits are provided for each axis which would indicate excessive distance moved
Control software is available to aid development (N.B. this takes the form of a terminal emulator)
